sheps asked: Holly, how old were you when you first picked up a guitar? Did you take formal lessons or teach yourself?

i took pianos lessons from the age of 7 to 14, then started playing guitar when i was 14. i taught myself by covering other peoples song. i didn’t write my first song though until i heard ani difranco. her music blew my mind. i had no idea anyone could be so open. so i gave it a shot. i’m still just giving it a shot. still looking up tabs online and learning other peoples songs too. xx
